IDIS-301 Intro to Bilingual & ESL Educ
This course focuses on both bilingual and ESL education. Students learn to recognize linguistic, cognitive, affective, and social factors that influence the acquisition of a second language. Course topics include teaching in content areas, classroom methods, curriculum design, and assessment. For students in the education program, concurrent registration in Education 302/303 is required. Field experience required for non-education students. One evening field observation required.
