A study of macroscopic properties of matter as described by chemical thermodynamics and kinetics. Major topics include: The laws of thermodynamics and their application to pure substances, chemical reactions, solutions, and physical and chemical equilibria, and reaction kinetics. Laboratory. Prerequisites: Chemistry 104, Mathematics 162, and a college physics course.
