This course is an investigation of the media of drawing through the development of seeing. We will embody this seeing in our generation of pictures and our use of materials. We will work to gain an understanding of the historical significance of drawing and investigate its conceptual possibilities from a Christian perspective. This course will focus on observation primarily from the still life. We will use a variety of drawing materials and techniques and pursue growth through practice and discussion. We will also discuss contemporary theory and working methods through slide discussions and readings. Materials fee.
