Ministry Resource Center

What is the Ministry Resource Center (MRC)?

The Lilly Vocation Project funds a collection of practical resources useful to students serving in Christian ministry leadership, whether on or off campus. You'll find this collection in the northeast corner of the fourth floor of the Hekman Library.

Just as the Curriculum Center provides resources for Calvin's education programs, so the MRC provides resources for all students and regional community members involved in Bible studies, prayer ministries, worship leadership, urban neighborhood ministry, volunteer service, and more.

What are the goals of the MRC?

  • To equip student leaders and the regional community members for more effective service
  • To help patrons develop discernment in selecting resource materials
  • To introduce patrons to the best authors and publishers in the field
  • To encourage conversations among students, faculty, and staff about skills and resources for effective spiritual leadership

Who will choose items for the MRC?

Calvin faculty and staff directly recommend many of the resources. So not only will you find a resource, you'll find someone who can discuss it with you.
