Ministry Resource CenterThe Lilly Vocation Project is funding the Ministry Resource Center (MRC), a collection of practical resources to help our students (and us) connect learning and practice in Christian ministry leadership. The MRC is in the northeast corner of the fourth floor of the Hekman Library. Just as the Curriculum Center provides resources for Calvin's education programs, so the Ministry Resource Center provides resources for those involved in on- and off-campus ministry. Its materials will be useful for leading Bible studies, prayer ministries, worship, urban neighborhood ministry, volunteer service, and more. The Ministry Resource Center is also designed to help us realize how gifts in art, theater, music, dance, writing, languages, counseling, business, accounting, or management, can be used in ministry. Yet Calvin students and the regional Christian community need more than simple access to published and on-line resources. They need mentoring, encouragement and discernment for selecting resources. MRC staff will provide some of that support, but Calvin faculty and staff in all disciplines also recommend useful resources related to their expertise. Through this process we:
