Study abroad
Discover what the Spanish culture really looks like, learn some Spanish slang, and meet some amazing people along the way—all in one semester. You don't even have to be a Spanish major or minor. Discover the opportunities to study abroad with the Spanish department!
Note: Several changes have been made to the Spanish off-campus semester programs, to take effect in the fall of 2011. These changes include the addition of a new program in Peru, as well as a location change to the semester in Spain from the city of Denia to Oviedo (pending administrative approval).
Look at the schedule (.doc) of when the programs are offered.
Also check out an overview (.ppt) of each program.
Peru
Starting in the fall of 2011, the Spanish department is excited to offer a new advanced program in Arequipa, Peru! (The advanced program in Honduras will now be moved to the spring.) You will study at the Universidad Católica de San Pedro, live with a Peruvian family, and take excursions to Lima, Cuzco, and Machu Picchu. Other excursions may include hiking, mountaineering, rafting, and visiting Cañón del Colca—which is deeper than the Grand Canyon!

Honduras
Don't just study Latin American culture, immerse yourself in it. You'll also learn about the role "gringos" should play in third-world countries when you study in Honduras »

Spain
You can choose from the core program in the fall (and finish your foreign language requirement in one semester) or the advanced program in the spring when you spend a semester in Spain »
