Elementary education major in Spanish
(31-32 hours)

3. Spanish 308 - Introduction to the Hispanic World I
4. Spanish 309 - Introduction to the Hispanic World ll
5. Spanish 340 - Spanish Phonology and Dialectology
6. Interdisciplinary 356 - Introduction to Elementary World-Languages Pedagogy
7. Advisor-approved semester abroad
8. Advisor-approved electives to reach a minimum of 31 hours

Secondary education major in Spanish

Note: For a K-12 endorsement, the field experience for Education 302/303 must be in an elementary school.

Additional information for education students

  • You must also complete the oral proficiency exam and the grammar and composition exams before you can apply to student teach.
  • The semester of student teaching in secondary Spanish is only available in the spring (elementary education students with a major in Spanish may choose to student teach either in the spring or fall).
