Lissa Schwander Lissa Schwander M.S.W. (Rutgers University); her education and professional experiences have been in the areas of policy and advocacy, particularly around issues of low-income housing development, homelessness, and poverty. She teaches Introduction to Social Work and Social Welfare, Social Welfare Policy Analysis, Social Work Practice with Organizations and Communities and the Social Work Practicum. Prof. Schwander is currently working on her Ph.D. in Sociology at Michigan State University. Her areas of study include the intersections of race, class, and gender, particularly with regard to globalization, migration, and development.
