Webmail

Every student at Calvin College has a webmail account, which can be accessed at http://webmail.calvin.edu. You are responsible for checking your e-mail account regularly and are responsible for any messages sent to it. The goal of this tutorial is to help you become familiar with Calvin's webmail program. Webmail skills are a prerequisite for IDIS 110 and will be expected knowledge for other Calvin College courses. Many of the skills you learn from using Calvin's webmail program are transferable to or from other webmail programs such as Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, and Gmail.

Print out the webmail checklist to use as a study guide. After reviewing the webmail materials, set them aside for a few days; then use the checklist as a self-test and practice exercise to see how much you retain.

  • Compose, Read, Save, Print, File, etc.
  • Auto-Forward, Identities, Aliases, etc.
