Powerpoint is software primarily used as a digital visual aids for presentations. The purpose of PowerPoint is to create an effective presentation. An effective presentation is one in which at least 80% of your time is spent on content and planning and 20% of your time is spent on the visual aspects. A basic style guideline is: Less is more. If an animation or image does not add to the communication of your presentation, leave it out.
