Dreamweaver Fundamentals

The skills presented in this section make use of the built-in tutorials and resources provided by Macromedia Dreamweaver. You can choose to progress through the tutorials in full or search through individual items listed in the checklist. If you have not already done so, you should print out the Dreamweaver checklist.

REMEMBER: when you set up or edit and then publish your website, the tutorial does not include the specific information necessary to publish on Calvin's Web server. Make sure to use the instructions to

  • setup/edit your site
  • publish your website

To access the Dreamweaver help materials, go to Help > Using Dreamweaver. If the Content tab is not selected, click it. It is recommended that you go through the two highlighted areas:

  • Dreamweaver Basics
(Remember to reference the documents above when setting up your site)
  • Adding Content to Pages

You probably won't retain everything the first time through the content resources. Take time to practice the skills so that they become more natural. You may also want to check out Help > Getting Started and Tutorials for a list of more learning modules.
