Welcome to the RC!

We are located in Hekman Library 207, near the library reference desk. To sign up for an appointment, stop by the office, call 616-526-7088, or e-mail with your preferred times. Feel free to drop in; staff members who don't have appointments booked will be happy to help you on the spot. (Warning: we're very busy the last 2 weeks of the semester; make an appointment to be sure of getting the attention you need.)

Hours of Operation

Class days, fall and spring semester:

Monday-Friday: 9am-5pm
Monday-Thursday: 7pm-9pm

Clarity through Discussion

The Rhetoric Center provides free assistance to students with writing and oral presentations for classes and extracurricular projects, from developing ideas and organizing materials to editing final drafts. We welcome students from all majors with all kinds of papers, speeches, or artwork, in any stage of the creative process. Come to talk about your ideas, to work on organization and structure, to get feedback from an attentive audience, or to work on proofreading.
