Past Research Activities
The National Longitudinal Study of Youth (1997 Cohort) - member of the design team responsible for the family process, family history, religiousity and youth competence modules (1995-1996).
The Adolescent Stress Project - development and initial validation of the Multicultural Events Survey for Adolescents (MESA), an instrument to identify and assess the impact of positive and negative life events on low income, urban adolescencts (1993-1994).
The Dads Project - member of the design team for an intervention program to assist noncustodial fathers in maintaining beneficial relationships with their children following divorce (1994).
The Nonshared Environment (NSE) Study - member of the design team, involved in observational coding of video tapes of twins, full siblings, half-siblings, and biologically-unrelated step-siblings engaged in family problem solving sessions.
The Remarriage Project - collaboration in data analysis and report of children's adjustment in nondivorced, single-mother, and stepfather families.
