  • There are approximately 200 students at Calvin who are pre-medical or pre-dental

Professor Peter V. Tigchelaar, Ph.D., Professor of Biology, is Calvin's designated Pre-Medical/Dental advisor, and has held the position since 1977.

Professor Tigchelaar has completed 11 medical missions in Ecuador, (3 in Africa). Calvin students with a heart for medicine and missions are exposed to a variety of experiences which may help them some day to be a part of the solution.
