Model UN Conference 2007
In November 2007, Calvin College students joined approximately 1400 other college students from across the nation at the American Model United Nations (AMUN) Conference in Chicago. This conference is
designed to simulate the operation of the United Nations. Approximately 100 participating colleges represent 130 countries at the 4-day conference. In 2007, Calvin represented Thailand on the General Assembly Plenary, The General Assembly First, Second, Third and Sixth Committees, The Education, Scientific and Cultural Committee, the International Court of Justice, the Economic and Social Council, and the Commission on Social Development.
Professor Amy Patterson of the Political Science Department directed Calvin's MUN group. This conference is part of POLS 285 Model United Nations, a course offered every fall semester.
