Political science minor (21 credit hours)
To get a minor in political science you must do 21 credit hours of work. The courses should be distributed in the following manner:
- one course in American politics (101, 202, 208, 209, 212, 310, 312, 314, 317, or 318)
- one course in comparative and international politics (102, 207, 271, 272, 275, 276, 277, 279, 304, 307, 308, or 309, 319, 328)
- one course in political theory ( 110, 240, 320, 312, or 306)
- twelve additional semester hours from the department, three hours of which may be an interim course (see list of courses)
International relations minor (21 credit hours)
To get a minor in international relations you must complete 21 credit hours of work. The courses you take should be distributed in the following way:
- Introduction to International Politics (207)
- Choose from 272 or 309
- Two courses from international or comparative politics (102, 271, 272, 275, 276, 277, 279, 304, 307, 308, 309, 319, 328)
- One course from American politics or political thought (101, 110, 208, 212, 240, 310, 312, 314, 317, 318)
- Six additional semester hours from the department (see list of courses).
