SPS - Society of Physics StudentsThe Calvin College chapter of the Society of Physics Students is a group which aims to encourage fellowship among all students with an interest in physics and astronomy. (Above, students and faculty enjoy the 2007"Spring Fling" on the shore of Lake Michigan). In the past we have achieved this by sponsoring events such as movie nights, sporting events, and private planetarium shows and tours. In the future we hope to expand our activities to include tours of nearby physics laboratories, visiting local middle and high schools to give brief presentations on the ‘coolness’ of physics and astronomy, and make an effort to educate the greater Calvin community as to the glorious attributes of God visible through his physical world.
