Four-Year Plan: Secondary Education Physics Major with Math MinorThis sample plan is for students wish to teach physics at the high school level. It incorporates the education requirements, physics requirements and cognates, a Secondary Education Minor in Math (minors are required for secondary education majors), and core. This plan includes two semesters of foreign language, but this will vary depending on the student's foreign language background. This plan is written with up to 17 semester hours each semester; some students may wish to take additional summer courses so as to lighten the loads during semesters. This sample plan is meant to illustrate the feasibility of completing this full program in 4 years. Schedules for individual students will of course vary, depending on their high school background and future interests. Students are responsible for consulting the Calvin College Course Catalog for the most complete and recent information and for constructing their own four year plan. Each course number is followed by semester hour credit in paranetheses. An asterisk (*) indicates courses often offered in summer. For students entering Fall 2005 and odd-numbered years following:
