Background:
In his role as Director of Laboratory Services, Steve is in charge of all instructional lab equipment, and teaches some lab sections as well. Steve joined the department in 1997 after working as an independent technical consultant. His work included the design and development of a special purpose industrial molding press. He also taught physics and electronics at the ITT Technical Institute. His technical background began in radio electronics where he helped design and build international Christian broadcasting facilities for Trans World Radio on all four major continents outside North America over the space of 15 years. Steve was the Computer Systems Developer at the Evangelical Seminary of Southern Africa for five years and also served a year as their Acting Registrar. He is a graduate of Calvin (B.A. in Physics) and Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, IL (B.S. in Missionary Radio Technology). Steve's interests include building construction and maintenance, special tools and equipment, and astronomy. His ham call is KC9QO. |
