Faculty Openings: Physics and Astronomy

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Calvin College invites applications for two full-time faculty appointments, pending administrative approval, one on a tenure track and the other on a two-year term.

About the positions

A Ph.D. degree in physics or astronomy is required for the tenure-track position and is preferred for the term position, although applicants holding Masters degrees will be considered in the latter case. Candidates should have outstanding promise as classroom teachers and undergraduate research mentors. Applicants in all specialties will be considered, but preference will be given to those who have experimental expertise and can either make use of our observatory as a research tool or further our existing programs in experimental AMO physics. Pending final administrative approval, the appointment will begin August 2014.
