Session A - (Ages 7-10), June 17-20, Tuesday-Friday, 9:00-10:15am (Limit: 24): CLOSED
Session B - (Ages 11-13), June 17-20, Tuesday-Friday, 10:30am-12:00pm (Limit:24): CLOSED

Session C - (Ages 7-10), June 23-26, Monday-Thursday, 9:00-10:15am (Limit: 24): CLOSED
Session D - (Ages 11-13), June 23-26, Monday-Thursday, 10:30am-12:00pm (Limit: 24): CLOSED

* NOTE: Week Two Sessions have the same content as Week One Sessions.

Cost:

Sessions A &C (Ages 7-10): $40.00 (due in full with registration)

Sessions B & D (Ages 11-13): $45.00 (due in full with registration)

A camp T-shirt is included in the fee.

Location:

Campers will meet at the outdoor courts at the Michigan Athletic Club (MAC) at 2500 Burton St. SE, just west of Calvin College. Please report to the MAC on each day of camp.

Program:

This tennis camp is for Beginner, Advanced Beginner, and Intermediate players, ages 7 thru 13. Listed below are several levels of play from beginner through intermediate tennis. Classes meet four days a week. Any rain dates will be played indoors at the MAC. Please enter your level of ability on application form. Campers need to supply their own racquet.

* Players will be grouped by skill level whenever possible.

1.0 ................................... This player is just starting to play tennis.

1.5 ................................... This player has played a limited amount but is still working primarily on getting the ball over the net; has some knowledge of scoring but is not familiar with basic positions and procedures for singles and doubles play.

2.0 ................................... This player may have had some lessons but needs on-court experience; has obvious stroke weaknesses but is beginning to feel comfortable with singles and doubles play.

2.5 ................................... This player has more dependable strokes but is still unable to judge where the ball is going; has weak court coverage; is still working just to keep the ball in play with others of the same ability level.

3.0 ................................... This player can place shots with moderate success; can sustain a rally of slow pace but is not comfortable with all strokes; lacks consistency in serving.
