Sports Camps: Girls Lacrosse

Dates/Times Summer 2014:

Session A:  Girls Entering Grades 3-5 
July 28 - 31: (M-Th), 9:30am – 12:00pm

Session B: Girls Entering Grades 6-8
July 28 - 31: (M-Th), 1:00pm – 4:00pm

Session C: Goalie Camp (entering Grades 3-5)
July 28 - 31: (M-Th), 9:30am – 12:00pm

Session D: Goalie Camp (entering Grades 6-8)
July 28 - 31: (M-Th), 1:00pm – 4:00pm

Program:

Instruction will be in both the areas of individual development and team.  All campers will work on offensive & defensive play, stick work technique, and speed & agility.  Drills which the player can continue post-camp are incorporated. 

Contests including Wall Ball Challenge, Ground Ball Queen, Sharp Shooter Challenge, 1 on 1, and 5 on 5 are held every day.  Each session is concluded with full field play where emphasis is on team concepts such as help defense and transition lacrosse.

Campers need to provide their own cleats, eye protection, mouth guard, stick & goalie pads (if applicable). We will not provide any equipment.

Every camper will receive a t-shirt.  Sizes given according to registration form. Camp t-shirts are not guaranteed to those who register within 14 days of the camp.  Every effort will be made to get your child a camp shirt.

Registration Information

Mail-in registration will begin on Monday, March 31.

Online registration (full payment only) will begin on Monday, March 31, 9:00am EDT.

Walk-in registration will begin Monday, April 14.

Cost:

Session A: $85.00 (Deposit Required: $40.00)
Session B: $100.00
(Deposit Required: $50.00)
Session C: $50.00 (Deposit Required: $25.00)
Sessions D: $65.00 (Deposit Required: $30.00)

Walk-up Registrations ARE NOT guaranteed a spot in ANY session.  Any walk-up registrations on the first day of camp, if accepted, will also be charged an additional $20.00 (cash or check ONLY, due immediately). T-shirts & other camp gifts are not guaranteed to ANYONE who registers within 2 weeks of the first day of camp.

 

Location:

These camps will take place on Calvin’s campus at Zuidema Field and several adjacent practice fields.  Meet the first day in the parking lot (Lot 7 – see campus map) of the Huizenga Tennis and Track building by the entrance to the soccer field & track. Participants will be told where to meet on the fields for the following days.
