What has been your most memorable experience on Calvin's track team?
"Placing second at Nationals in 2003 and losing by 3 inches. Going to Steve Michmerhuizen's (Calvin's throwing coach) parent's woods and riding around in their jeep. The summer before my sophomore year, at which point I really worked harder than I ever have before bring myself to the level at which I am."
Why did you decide to attend Calvin College?
"I came to Calvin because of the coaches. Coaches Honderd, Kim, and Zylstra all called me and encouraged me to at least visit Calvin to see what it had to offer. I visited and loved everything about Calvin, especially the track team."
