Oregon Extension Program

Fall Semester

Program:

This cooperative program is conducted in Ashland, Oregon during the fall semester only. About thirty students become part of a small, intellectual community in a quaint, rural setting in the woods near the Cascade Mountains. Instruction is personalized in tutorial or small groups. The focus is on Christian reflection in contemporary life and thought.

Course offerings:

Courses are divided into four areas of study:

  • Contemporary Issues (4 semester hours)
  • Social Thought  (3 semester hours)
  • Human Stories (3 semester hours)
  • Living Faith (3 semester hours)

More than half of the academic work must be outside the student's primary field of interest. Students study one course in each of the listed categories. A complete list of courses is available at the Off-Campus Programs Office.

Tuition, housing and activities fee:

$11,600

Administrative fee: $150

Food:

Approximately $750 (Student is responsible for purchasing & preparing own meals.) 

Books:  

Approximately $300
