Dordt College
Netherlandic Studies Program in Contemporary Europe  

Spring Semester

Program:

This cooperative program with Dordt College is offered each spring semester in Zwolle. Students take courses in Dutch language and in Dutch culture, history and society (in English). Opportunities for Field Experience, service projects, and individually designed courses of study or research are also available. Zwolle is a city of 120,000 people, located approximately 60 miles north of Amsterdam. N-SPICE students will live with Dutch families for the entire semester. Classes will be held on the campus of Gereformeerde Hogeschool giving students ample opportunity to interact with Dutch college students. Field trips to museums and other places throughout the Netherlands will be taken during the semester. Prerequisites include a sophomore status or higher, and a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5.course offerings:

Students may select from four different tracks in the S.P.I.C.E. program: International Ministries (in which one-half of the semester is spent in Ukraine), Dutch Area Studies, Dutch Studies with Language, and International Business.

Program fee:

$13,380 (subject to change based on the US$/Euro exchange rate)
Includes tuition, room and board, program excursions, bicycle, and transportation from Amsterdam Schiphol to Zwolle (and return)

Fees:

$150 Administrative fee
$50 Dordt application fee (Will be returned if the student is not accepted to the program.)
