Program:With German as the language of instruction right from the start and the German-speaking surroundings integrated into your courses through the learning-by-doing principle, this program offers you an authentic access to the German language and culture. From appropriate language use in everyday situations taught in the elementary courses, to dealing with complex facts in the advanced level courses, your linguistic skills - hearing, speaking, reading and writing - are developed to make you feel successful from the very beginning. The program uses a diversified methodology: individual work, partner or group work, language learning games, role playing and simulations, class projects, town visits and the use of manifold instructional materials. However, the courses comprise much more than just language instruction. Learning about Germany`s history and culture in the international atmosphere of the courses helps you become aware of your own cultural attitudes. Participants can actively realize this new cultural experience in a process of intercultural learning and understanding. Once again, the principle is learning-by-doing and encourages the participants to form new opinions through an interactive hands-on experience. Course offerings:Courses are available for all levels of language proficiency. A placement test is given at the beginning of the program for proper class placement. Upon request, discipline-specific courses can be offered for the intermediate level and above in the fields of economics, medicine, law, and tourism and gastronomy, as well as, an opportunity for some group and customized courses. All textbooks and instructional materials used in the courses are free of charge. Cost:
