Non-Calvin Programs: Level II Financial Aid

Calvin-endorsed programs: Level II

If you participate in a level II non-Calvin semester program, you are eligible to receive 50% of the Calvin financial aid (e.g. departmental scholarships, Knollcrest grant, etc.) you would normally receive to study on-campus. You will also continue to receive all other aid you normally receive, such as outside scholarships, federal loans and state grants.

Ausable Institute

Take courses and work in internships related to environmental studies. Study in northern Michigan with its forests, wetlands, lakes and rivers, or study on east or west coasts, Kenya or India.

Budapest Semesters in Mathematics

Spend one or two semesters taking courses in mathematics or computer science in Budapest, Hungary. All courses are in English and many are taught by instructors who have experience teaching in North America.

Central University in Leiden, Netherlands

Spend one or two semesters in Leiden taking courses related to Dutch language and culture, studying at one of two local universities, or doing an internship with a local organization or business.

Creation Care Studies Program

Study creation care in either Belize or New Zealand/Samoa during the fall or spring semester with students from other Christian colleges and universities.

Study business, economics, political science, religion, computer science, or communications at Handong University, a Christian college in Pohang, South Korea.

At Hong Kong Baptist University, you will study Chinese language and culture in addition to courses you may choose in the arts, business administration, science, social sciences, and social work. You will room with a local student from Hong Kong to facilitate cultural exchange.

Study at Hogeschool Zeeland in Vlissingen, the Netherlands, if you are a business or economics major interested in gaining experience in international business.
Airfare and residency permit costs will be reimbursed, up to $1,500.
