Interim 2009 - Instructor Resources
Under Student Resources, students will receive the application materials for an off-campus interim course. We recommend that you become familiar with the materials, so you will know what students will be handing in to you.
If you prefer, you can download any of the forms and make changes appropriate to your course prior to making them available to students.
The following materials are here to assist the planning and execution of your course. Please refer to your Interim Instructor's Handbook for more information.
- Instructor Handbook 2009 - The entire handbook is here in PDF format. Use the search function to find topics (e.g., insurance, rebates, cash advances, honoraria) on which you need information.
- INSTRUCTOR PACKET OF FORMS - Select the documents you need; save them to your computer in order to make changes, or print them out as is.
- Frequently Asked Questions
- Ten Commandments for Travelers - Another tool to use with your group as you discuss behavior expectations.
- Keeping Safe Off-Campus Guidelines - Each student must receive a copy of this at an orientation meeting and the particularly relevant sections for your area of travel should be discussed. (For more information, see the Student Orientation section of handbook.)
- "Theft Thwarters" - This document offers numerous (too many!) tips on protecting oneself and one's property while traveling. It is a Word document that you can download to adapt it for the needs of your group or use it as the basis for your own anti-theft advice to your group.
- Interim Conduct Guidelines - This was used by an Interim course and has some wonderful pointers for students. It is a MS Word document, so you can adjust or add to the information before giving it to students.
- Policies regarding family travel and visitor fees are posted on the Interim Term Committee's portion of the Registrar's website, at: Guidelines for Spouse Travel and at Visitors Fee Policy.
