Professor Vander Wal Awarded a Calvin Research Fellowship

Mary Vander Wal Professor Mary Vander Wal was awarded a Calvin Research Fellowship (CRF) for the fall 2006. CRF's are intended to help faculty pursue projects of independent scholarship and to aid them in ongoing, continuing, independent research. Professor Vander Wal has an exciting program of research around the potential benefit of nutritional supplementation for chronically ill children.

Her current CRF will support her work on "Glyconutritional Supplementation as an Adjunct Therapy for Cystic Fibrosis". Such a topic is an excellent fit with Mary's clinical expertise and the department's focus on tertiary health protection.
