Department of Nursing Introduces a New Pin

Calvin Nursing Pin The Calvin College Nursing Pin was designed by the Class of 2004. Its colors are maroon and gold, the colors of Calvin College.

The symbols are the cross, the lamp, the triangle, and the heart and hand. The cross represents the Christian faith and dedication to Christian nursing. The lamp is symbolic of the profession of nursing. The triangle represents our dependence on God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The heart and hands are Calvin's motto, "My heart I offer to you Lord, promptly and sincerely." The letters BSN represent the Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree which has been earned. May all who wear this pin remain dedicated to the rebuilding of Shalom.
