Dr. John Hamersma Releases New CD
Music professor emeritus, Dr. John Hamersma, is pleased to announce the release of his first CD recording Color and Contrast. The recording consists of pieces that have been asked for most frequently in over 50 years of Dr. Hamersma's playing and was recorded on the Noack organ at Grace Episcopal Church. Copies of Color and Contrast will be available for purchase at the Calvin Campus Store, Schuler Books and Music, Baker Book House or through Grace Episcopal Church beginning on November 3.
On Saturday, November 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. there will be a public hearing of the recording as well as a gala wine and cheese reception at Schuler Books and Music on 28th Street. John Hamersma will talk briefly about Grace Episcopal Church, the Noack pipe organ, as well as the recording itself.
