The Calvin Band Releases New Recording
The Calvin Band is pleased to announce the release of their latest CD - "Calvin Band in Concert." This CD, the first recording to be released under conductor Dr. Tiffany Engle, is a compilation of some of the Calvin Band's most recent erformances. "Calvin Band in Concert" ($15) is available by contacting director, Tiffany Engle. All proceeds from these sales will be used to help Calvin Band ensemble members cover the cost of the band's international tour to Eastern Europe in May 2008.
The Calvin Band - is the concert band of Calvin College and is conducted by Dr. Tiffany Engle. The Calvin Band performs regularly throughout the academic year with major concerts each semester and an annual Christmas Pops Concert in December. Appearances at the Fall Music Festival andin local churches fill out the band's performance schedule. The Calvin Band also tours annually within North America and has frequently traveled to Eastern Europe. The group is planning a tour to Hungary, Romania,and the Ukraine in May 2008.
