Two Music Ensembles Tour Europe
Two of Calvin's ensembles recently returned from international concert tours. The Calvin Band visited Hungary, Romania, and Ukraine and Capella toured the Netherlands, Belgium and France.
Capella Receives Two Third Prize Awards in International Vocal Competition
During Capella's tour to the Netherlands, Belgium and France, the participated in an international vocal competition held in Tours, France. The youngest choir among the competing adult choirs, the Capella earned a pair of third-place medals in the Mixed Choirs and Free Program categories.

Two Recent Music Recordings Win Awards
Calvin Oratorio Society 's Messiah and the Calvin Orchestra DVD were each awarded a 2008 Telly Award. The Telly Awards honor local, regional and cable television commercials and programs, video and film productions, and work created for the Web.
Stephanie Wiltse Named to AGEHR Board of Directors
Stephanie Wiltse, the director of the Calvin Handbell Ensemble, has been named to the national board of directors for the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers (AGEHR).
Upcoming Music Events
Knollcrest Music Camp 2008
The 38th annual Knollcrest Music Camp at Calvin College will be held August 4-8 (for students entering grades 9-12) and August 11-15 (for students entering grades 7-8). Camp runs daily from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and includes a final performance on Friday night. Tuition for each camp is $150.00 ($165.00 after June 30th) and includes a Knollcrest t-shirt. Lunch is available for an additional charge. Visit the KMC website for more information.
