- Auditions will take place between January 16 and 17, 2112.. Please tell your friends, relatives, neighbors, etc. To schedule a time, please call or email Vicki Van Wingerden at (616) 526-6360 or vduyst@calvin.edu.
- First rehearsal is Monday, January 23, 2012 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. In the Calvin College Covenant Fine Arts Center Recital Hall.
- Our Spring Oratorio, Haydn's The Seasons will be held in the Calvin College Covenant Fine Arts Center Auditorium on April 27, 2012 at 8:00 p.m.
General Information
The following information is to let you know what is expected of you as a member of the chorus.
- Rehearsal Time: Rehearsals are 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. every Monday evening (until 10:00 closer to the performances, please see schedule). Devotions will begin at 7:20 p.m. so that rehearsal can begin promptly at 7:30 p.m.
- Bring your scores & a pencil: Please bring your scores and a pencil to each rehearsal. Scores can be purchased at the table outside of the Recital Hall. Everyone must have his or her own score.
Messiah score is $10.00
The Seasons score is $20.00. - Record your attendance: A membership roster will be located on a table outside the Recital Hall. Please put a line through your name when you arrive each week. This is our method of recording your attendance.
- Absences: If you are unable to attend a rehearsal, you must fill out an excuse form or call Vicki VanWingerden at 526-6360 and leave a message on her voicemail, giving the date and reason for your absence. Only two excused absences per semester are allowed. No unexcused absences are allowed. All exceptions to this must be made with the conductor’s approval.
- Performances: Our performance will be held at the Covenant Fine Arts Center Auditorium. The Seasons will be presented on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 8 p.m.
