In addition to the Music Lab, which may be used by any student enrolled in a music course at Calvin, we have a "Composer's Station," a private studio equipped with professional-level sequencing software and advanced sythesis and sampling capabilities. Tutorials on using the equipment are given periodically throughout the school year. Typical projects that require use of the Composer's Station include original composition, orchestration work, advanced counterpoint projects, film scoring, and digital processing/mixing. Other students who wish to use the equipment must obtain permission from Professor Fuentes or Professor Wolters-Fredlund. Students may check out a Composer's Station key from the Music Office during working hours or from the Music Lab on weekday evenings and Saturdays.
