Students are encouraged to give 15 minute presentations on any area of mathematical interest. Such areas include undergraduate research projects, interesting class projects, mathematics history, technology demonstrations, etc.

We also invite presentations on career or other opportunities (research programs, graduate school, business or industry employment, government agencies, etc.) for students of mathematics and related disciplines.

Abstracts of talks (at most 100 words) should be submitted on the form below. Each presenter will be notified of acceptance of his/her paper within one week of abstract submission. Abstracts must be received by Friday, February 1, 2002.

Registration Fees

The registration fee for the conference is $12, which includes refreshments and lunch. However, students who give presentations have their conference registration fees reduced from $12 to $8. We strongly encourage departments to pay the remainder of each student presenter's registration fees and to help defray the costs of all student participants from their institutions.
