The Believe 2 Become Initiative is a neighborhood-based, multi-year, data-driven collaborative effort of individuals and organizations with a goal of helping children succeed in school, work, and life here in Grand Rapids. With three years of program and survey data under our belt, we investigated deeper analyses of certain subsets of our data. The particular analysis we will discuss is the examination of Collective Efficacy, generally defined as the social cohesion among neighbors, as an outcome of engagement and other variables, rather than a predictor as it has been typically utilized in previous studies.
