Following is the description for the workshop:
"Nonviolent Direct Action As Public Witness"
What's is nonviolence? Is a glitter bomb nonviolent direct action? What's a glitter bomb? If you want to get a practical, but informed workshop that takes you from zero to planning nonviolent actions in a day, well this is the workshop to attend. Hope Equals and Christian Peacemaker Teams have teamed up to offer a half-day workshop. This workshop reviews both theory and examples of nonviolent actions, has practical advice for responding to violent people, and even does role play to help drive the point home. This is a practical step in your journey as an activist.
