Journeys in Partnership: International development and faith institutions exploring new paths

Separate paths, rhetoric, and organizations kept large segments of development and faith worlds apart over the decades, but the barriers are crumbling. The common ground that comes from shared concern for the welfare of all world citizens and outrage about inequities challenges the separations and is prompting new openness to working together. Global trends towards new kinds of partnerships and alliances are also at work. But the journey has not been easy and it is far from over. Fighting poverty, drawing on the experience of different disciplines, philosophies, cultures, and faiths should count as a leading priority of our times, one that engages us all in different ways.
