In every context where World Vision works, there are other active and potential contributors toward the well-being of children and toward families’ and communities’ resilience and capacity to care and provide for children. These may include government, churches and other faith-based organizations, community-based organizations, national and international NGOs, traditional authorities, businesses, informal groups, and a range of other partners. Most have been in the community long before World Vision arrived and will remain long after World Vision leaves. What does it mean in practice to partner with government, businesses and other non-traditional development stakeholders? What specific opportunities and challenges face a Christian organization as it partners with others?
