Healing Children of Conflict

History Profs. Bert de Vries, Kristin Du Mez, and Doug Howard have joined with local organizations to found a non-profit organization dedicated to healing children harmed in military conflicts overseas in which the U.S. was or is involved. Their first fundraiser is Thursday, November 5. Read more.

Marsden this Fall

George Marsden will be teaching "Faith and Learning in the United States" this Fall semester. The History department is delighted to welcome back this renowned Notre Dame professor who once taught at Calvin. Dr. Marsden also gave the department's first colloquium on September 16, recorded on MP3 here.

NEH Summer Institute

Professors Karin Maag and Bob Schoone-Jongen co-directed a National Endowment for the Humanities Institute this summer titled, "Making Sense of the Reformation."
