Experiential Learning: Off Campus Programs

Durham University, England

Calvin College History, Archeology, and Medieval Studies programs are beginning a partnership with Durham Unversity. Soon Calvin students will be able to join Durham's archeological digs and study British history on site.

Budapest, Hungary

Each year about eighteen Calvin students study in Budapest during the long, gorgeous fall. Find out more about this program in Hungary.

York, England

Study history in the historical city of York, where archeologists have excavated a viking village and Roman ruins and where Medieval buildings are still surrounded by their protecting wall. Find out more about this regular program in Britain.

Interim abroad

Calvin offers numerous interims abroad every year, which allow students to spend 3 weeks abroad in January or May. History department faculty frequently lead some of these courses, and past destinations include Vietnam & Cambodia, Turkey, Italy, and Greece. To find out more about all the interim courses available this year and see past destinations, visit the Interim Info page.
