Graduate Program Application
We are always interested in attracting committed, highly-motivated students into our graduate courses, endorsements or degree programs. The basic requirements for admission to graduate study include:-
successful completion of a baccalaureate (bachelor's) degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale;
-
a teaching certificate or eligibility for a teaching certificate (photocopies accepted);
-
two professional reference letters written on the applicant's behalf, at least one of which should address teaching effectiveness;
-
transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate coursework;
-
an autobiographical essay including commentary on the applicant's teaching philosophy
-
for those students from countries where English was NOT the language of instruction, a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of at least 550 (written test) or 213 (computer-based test).
-
We also recommend that you have two years of teaching experience prior to enrolling
Students may register for graduate courses in non-degree programs, or for summer workshops, on a guest basis without applying for formal admission, and without meeting all the criteria above by completing the non-degree application.
