About Banff Mountain Film Festival

The Banff Mountain Film Festival is an international film competition and annual presentation of short films and documentaries about mountain culture, sports, and environment. It launched in 1976 as The Banff Festival of Mountain Films by The Banff Centre.

After the festival is held in November, a selection of the best films for the year goes on the World Tour through 20 countries, reaching over 300 cities and 200,000 people (and counting) every year.

Proceeds will support Calvin College environmental field courses.
