Field Trips

Field trips are a regular occurrence in our department and range from short field trips during labs (such as the gypsum mine), to weekend field trips (such as Alpena) and 10-day post-commencement field trips. Over the years, students have visited the Great Smoky Mountains in North Carolina and Tennessee; Michigan's Upper Peninsula; the Colorado Plateau; Toronto, Ontario; Prince Edward Island; New Mexico; Black Hills of South Dakota and numerous other places.
