A temperature and relative humidity sensor is housed
in a radiation shield. The shield shades the sensor
from direct sunlight, is made of reflective material so it does
not get too hot in direct sunlight, and is ventilated to allow good
air exchange with the surrounding atmosphere.
Temperature and relative
humidity measurements are used to understand conditions for sand
movement during the winter. |

Radiation
shield protects the probe measuring temperature and relative humidity.
