This website explores the aeolian geomorphology of Lake Michigan
coastal dunes.
Geomorphology
is the study of landforms: their nature, history and the processes
that created, changed and are operating on them. Aeolian
refers to the activity of the wind. This website explores the wind-shaped
landforms along the coast of Lake Michigan.
This site focuses on
the physical aspects of Lake Michigan coastal dunes rather than
dune ecology. The section on References
will point you to additional resources including information on
dune ecology. |
