Eric jager
Eric Jager, a graduate of Calvin College, teaches and writes about medieval and classical literature and literary theory at the University of California at Los Angeles, where he is a professor of English. The Last Duel: A True Story of Crime, Scandal, and Trial by Combat in Medieval France (2004) is Jager’s historical narrative of a fourteenth-century duel between a French knight and his fellow combatant. The book has been optioned for a major motion picture. In addition to The Last Duel, Jager has also written The Book of the Heart (2000) and The Tempter's Voice: Language and the Fall in Medieval Literature (1993).
