Pre-registration information was sent out in the middle of October 2006 to individuals and schools who signed up to be on our mailing list. If you are not on our mailing list, and are interested in attending the Youth Writing Festivals, please sign-up here or call 616.526.8423 to have the materials sent to you.
The pre-registration
form may be filled out online or submitted through the mail. These forms are due no later than December 15, 2006.
- Submitting this form does not reserve a spot for you at the Festival.
- Submitting this form does add you to the list of people who will receive the official registration materials in early February.
If you submit the pre-registration form, you will receive the official registration packet in early February.
- Elementary schools may register up to 30 students per school.
- Middle schools and High schools may register an unlimited amount of students.
- The registration forms are due no later than March 21, 2007.
- Space is limited so please return your registration materials as soon as possible.
- Please note that your school's spot will be reserved when we receive your registration form and payment. The registration form may be filled out on this web site (please refer to each level's home page) or you may create your own typed version of the form (including the school name, the contact teacher's name and information, the students' names, grades, and t-shirt sizes, and the payment amount).
- Checks should be made payable to Calvin College.
- Once you receive your official registration materials in February, promptly return them to:

Pre-Festival preparation:
- We ask that each school coordinator come to Calvin's English Department during the week before the Festival to pick up all the conference materials. This practice has prevented long lines and confusion on the morning of the conference.
- The English Department is located in the Fine Arts Building, which is near the front of campus, facing the East Beltline. For pickup, please park on the circle drive by the East Beltline. When you enter the building, the English Department will be to your right, Room 201.
- Items such as name tags, group assignments, and T-shirts will be included in the materials.
- Materials will be available for pick up from April 16 – April 20.
