kathleen norris
Kathleen Norris is an award-winning poet, writer, and author of the New York Times bestsellers The Cloister Walk, Dakota: A Spiritual Geography, Amazing Grace: A Vocabulary of Faith, and The Virgin of Bennington. Her work, which explores the spiritual life, is at once intimate and historical, rich in poetry and meditations, and deeply grounded in both nature and spirit. Her experiences as an oblate of a Benedictine monastery and a resident of a small town in South Dakota have inspired the themes of her books. She is currently working on a new book on Sloth, to be published late next year. Norris now resides in Hawaii, where she volunteers at her mother’s retirement home and at her local Episcopal church.
